This concerto is the most recent to be identified. It belongs to Joseph Meck’s (1690-1758) opus 1 (1720/21) as concerto no. 9, published by Estienne Roger in Amsterdam in 1720/21. It is an energetic, uplifting piece in four movements, opening with a stately, solemn Largo in 3/2. This most attractive concerto features a beautiful and substantial slow 3rd movement, which gives ample room for embellishment.
Such a nice recording! Also beautiful cadenza and embellishments.
